Where to host a rehearsal dinner in Healdsburg

For 10 to 25 guests, the Fireplace Lounge at CraftWork is $125 per hour with a 3-hour minimum, so an evening starts at $375. For up to 40, CW's Patio is $1,000 for a six-hour event and The Gallery is $750 for a half day. Up to 175 takes a full buyout at $2,500, Friday through Sunday. You bring your own wine and your own caterer, there is no corkage and no food-and-beverage minimum, and parking is free.

The night before is the one people actually talk to each other at. Nobody is making a speech to 180 strangers, the schedule is yours, and the point is the twenty or forty people who flew in. Healdsburg is a good town for it: everyone is already here for the weekend, downtown is walkable, and dinner does not have to happen in a hotel function room. Here is what it costs and which room fits your number.

What size rehearsal dinner fits where?

The Fireplace Lounge holds 10 to 60. CW's Patio holds 10 to 40. The Gallery, which is the Urban Workshop set up for an event, holds up to 40 and seats 24 or more at one long table. A full-space buyout holds up to 175 and gives you every room plus the patio.

What does a rehearsal dinner cost?

Space rental only, because the food and the wine are yours to bring. The Fireplace Lounge is $125 per hour for groups up to 25 with a 3-hour minimum, so $375 for an evening, setup and takedown included. Groups of 26 to 60 are quoted by headcount and time of day, which is a separate rate rather than a surcharge, so ask for a number. CW's Patio is $1,000 for a six-hour event and $200 for each additional hour. The Gallery is $750 for a half day (5 hours) or $1,500 for a full day (10 hours). A full buyout is $2,500 plus cleaning fees.

Can we bring our own wine?

Yes, and there is no corkage. That is the part that changes the budget most. If you have been collecting bottles from the tasting rooms all weekend, or someone in the family makes wine, it goes on the table at no extra cost.

Can we bring our own caterer or a food truck?

Yes. There is a catering kitchen, and the patio takes a food truck. There is no food-and-beverage minimum to hit, so a taco truck for thirty is as welcome as a plated dinner. If you would rather we handled it, catered meals, coffee and tea service, and wine tastings are available as add-ons priced separately.

What time can we start?

The Fireplace Lounge is generally available evenings after 5 PM and weekends, which is when a rehearsal dinner happens anyway. CW's Patio and The Gallery book by the block rather than the hour, so an early-evening start is a scheduling question rather than a rule.

Do you host the wedding ceremony too?

No. We host everything around the wedding: the rehearsal dinner, the welcome party, the morning-after brunch. The ceremony itself happens somewhere else. If you need the whole weekend in one place, this is not it, and we would rather say so now.

Is the room private?

The room you book is yours for the whole booking, door closed. Rooms book independently, so another group can be elsewhere in the building unless you take a full buyout. It is not a curtained-off corner of a larger event, and there is no table you have to hand back at nine.

Where do guests park?

Parking downtown is free, and the building is in the middle of it. For out-of-town guests staying nearby, walking is usually easier than driving.

How far ahead do we book, and what if plans change?

Online booking closes 24 hours before the start time, so anything inside that goes through our team. For bookings over two hours: cancel 14 or more days ahead for a full refund minus a $100 fee, 7 to 14 days ahead for full credit toward a future event, and within 48 hours there is no refund.
